Education - Community - Environment - Awareness - Outreach
Our club stimulates the knowledge and love of gardening among amateurs, encourages the study of northern horticulture, aids in the protection of native plants and trees and pollinators, and encourages civic planting. Additionally, every year we grant a scholarship to one deserving horticultural student.
St. Anthony Park Garden Club is the brainchild of Ann Stout and Turid Ormseth, two like minds who thought there should be a local garden club for amateur gardeners. After an organizational meeting, our first meeting was April 1, 1997, at the St. Anthony Park Library in Saint Paul, Minnesota.Â
Many contributed to the organization of the club and by August we had 43 members. Today we are over 90 members strong.
Our meetings are now at the St. Anthony Park Lutheran Church, 2323 Como Avenue.
